Chicken 65, is a deep-fried spicy chicken dish originating in Chennai-based Buhari Hotel, India. This chicken is made marinated with beaten egg, cornflour, rice flour and flavorful spices, which is crispy and juicy absolutely Yummy.

Ingredients:

Chicken (small-medium pieces) - Β½ kg

Curd - Β½ cup (125 ml)

Ginger garlic paste - 1 Β½ tbsp

Chilli powder - Β½ tbsp

Pepper - 1 tsp

Cornflower -β…“ cup (80 ml)

Rice flour - 1 tsp (optional)

Garam masala - 2 tsp

Salt - as per taste

Egg -1 no

Oil - 3 tbsp

Preparation Method:

In a bowl, add Β½ cup (125 ml) of curd

1 Β½ tbsp of ginger garlic paste, Β½ tbsp of chili powder

1 tsp of pepper, β…“ cup (80 ml) of cornflour

1 tsp of rice flour (optional), add salt as per taste

2 tsp of garam masala

Add an egg and, 3 tbsp of oil

Mix all the ingredients to make a thick paste. Add the chicken pieces to the paste and mix well.

Once mixed, close with a lid and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Heat the Kadai and pour the oil required. Once heated, gently drop the marinated chicken pieces into the oil

Turnover in between deep fry the chicken till it turns golden brown

Once cooked, remove it into a bowl and serve hot with tomato ketchup and mayonnaise.

That's it. Your crispy and juicy "chicken 65" is ready.
