"Crunch into Delight: Homemade Maida Biscuits Recipe!


Diamond Biscuits, is the most popular and delicious crispy and crunchy diamond cuts maida biscuits, savoured and loved by children. Prepared during Festivals and any special occasions. Absolutely yummy.
Ingredients:
Maida - 1 & Β½ cups
Sugar - Β½ cup
Salt - ΒΌ Tsp
Ghee - 3 tbsp
Oil - to fry
Water - Β½ glass


Preparation Method:
In a mixer jar, add Β½ cup of sugar and grind finely.




In a bowl, sieve 1 & Β½ cups of Maida with a strainer




Add the grounded sugar powder


3 tbsp of ghee
Note:- Adding ghee will make the biscuits crispy, or it will be hard.


Add ΒΌ tsp of salt and mix it well


Add water little by little to form a thick dough.
Mix it well for 3 to 5 minutes.




Once done, add a little ghee, and spread it all over the dough.




Close with the lid and keep it aside for 5-10 minutes.


Later place the dough in the working area.


Knead well and cut the dough into three pieces.


Sprinkle some flour and spread the dough on the surface to form a thick layer.






Cut the straight strips into small cross-cuts to form a diamond shape.




Once spread, cut the dough into straight strips.
The pieces should be of this size.


Roll all the dough as described.
Cut all the other pieces and collect them on a plate.


In a kadai


Pour the required amount of oil.
Once the oil is hot enough, drop the pieces slowly.


Deep fry in medium-low flame. Turnover in between




Once well fried, remove it from the oil and collect in a bowl.






Fry the rest in the same way as described.


That's it. Your "Diamond biscuits" are ready.
