How to make Mushroom Biryani | Kalan Biryani with Basmathi Rice | Kids Lunch Box Recipe
The authentic vegetarian version of a delicious biryani Indian dish.


Mushroom Biryani, is the authentic vegetarian version of a delicious biryani Indian dish, Made with flavorful spices, fluffy basmati rice and mushroom. which is absolutely fabulous.
Ingredients:
basmathi rice - 1 cup (250 ml)
Oil -2 tbsp
Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tbsp
Coconut oil - 1 tbsp
Bay leaf (tej patha) - 1
Cinnamon (dalchini) - 1 inch
Cloves (laung) - 4
Star Anise(chakra phool) - 1
Mace (jai pathri) - 1
Black stone flower (pathar pool) - 1
Black cardamom (kali elaichi) - 1
Onion (chopped) - ΒΌ kg
Ginger garlic paste - 1 Β½ tbsp
Pepper - Β½ tsp
Briyani masala - 1 tsp
Garam masala - Β½ tsp
Chilli powder - Β½ tbsp
Salt - as per taste
Green chilli - 1
Curd - 2 tbsp
Mushroom - 400 g
Mint leaves -1 cup (6 tbsp)
Coriander leaves - 1 cup
Water - 2 cups (500ml)


Preparation Method:
In a bowl, add 1 cup of Basmati rice




Pour some water and Rinse thoroughly


Pour 1 cup of water, close with the lid and soak it for 10 minutes.




In a pressure pan/cooker, add two tbsp of oil, two tbsp of ghee (clarified butter), one tbsp of coconut oil






Once the oil is heated, add one bay leaf (tej patha), one inch cinnamon (dalchini)




Four cloves (laung), one star anise (chakra phool)




One mace (jai pathri), one black stone flower (pathar pool)




One black cardamom (kali elaichi) mix it well


Once roasted, add two thinly sliced onions and mix


1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste




Add Β½ tsp of pepper, one tsp of Biryani masala






Β½ tsp of garam masala, Β½ tbsp of chili powder


Salt as per the taste and mix it well.




Add one green chili, two tbsp of curd


400 g of mushroom and mix




Filter the soaked basmati rice and add to it. Mix it well




Add two cups (500ml) of water and mix






One cup of mint leaves and bring it to a boil.






Once boiled, this is the time to check for the taste you can add salt and spice accordingly.
Mix well and close with the lid


Once the vapour is released from the whistling nozzle put on the weight and cook the rice


Once the pressure is down, remove the lid




Add a bunch of chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves




Gently mix and check the mushroom biryani is well cooked.


That's it. Your tasty "mushroom biryani" is ready.
