How to make Tasty Toor Dal Fry | Yellow Lentils | Dal Recipe

Dal Fry, Flavorful Comfort: A delicious & popular Indian lentil recipe. Absolutely Fabulous.ππ²
Ingredients:
Tur dal - 250 g
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbs
Mustard seeds (Rai) - Β½ tsp
Cumin seeds (Jeera) - 1 tsp
Hing - (Asafoetida) - 1 tsp
Red chilli - 1
Curry leaves - 1 bunch
Chopped garlic - 5 -8 cloves
Chopped green chilli - 3
Onion - 1
Tomato - 2
Salt - to taste
Turmeric - Β½ tsp
Cumin powder (Jeera powder) -Β½ tbsp
Red chilli powder - ΒΌ tsp
Coriander leaves - Β½ cup


Preparation Method:
Take tur dal in the pressure cooker, wash it thoroughly and soak it for half an hour.
Once well soaked, add two glasses of water and 1 tsp salt.
Close the lid and cook till two whistle sounds.

Use a Kadai, add 1 tbsp of ghee
1 tbsp of oil


Fry Β½ tsp of mustard seeds (rai)




One tsp of cumin seeds (jeera) and mix it well.


Add 1 tsp of hing (asafoetida)
One bunch of curry leaves, and fry for a minute.




One red chilli


Then add 5 -8 cloves of chopped garlic, Three chopped green chilli mix well.


Add one onion, and fry well.


Once it becomes soft, add two tomatoes.


Add salt as per taste, as we already added a tsp while cooking the dal.


Add boiled tur dal and a glass of water, mix well and cook for 5-10 minutes.






Then add Β½ tsp of turmeric, cumin powder,
And ΒΌ tsp of red chilli powder and cook for 2 min.


That's it. Your "Dal fry" is ready.
