Mushroom Pepper Fry is a bold and flavourful South Indian starter made with fresh mushrooms, crushed pepper, curry leaves, and aromatic spices. This peppery dish turns simple mushrooms into a spicy delight that’s perfect for spice lovers 🌢️.

Ingredients
  • Mushroom – 300 g

  • Pepper – 1 tbsp

  • Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – Β½ tsp

  • Fennel Seeds (Badishep / Sombu) – Β½ tsp

  • Ghee (Clarified Butter) – 2 tbsp

  • Mustard Seeds – Β½ tsp

  • Ginger (chopped) – 1Β½ tbsp

  • Onion (chopped) – 3

  • Curry Leaves – 3 bunches

  • Capsicum (diced) – 1

  • Salt – as per taste

  • Water – ΒΌ glass

Preparation Method

In a mixer jar, add 1 tablespoon pepper, Β½ teaspoon jeera, and Β½ teaspoon fennel seeds (badishep / sombu).

Close the lid and grind into a fine powder.

Once ground, transfer the pepper powder to a bowl, close with a lid, and keep aside.
